Hi guy's just wondering if I could get some advise on my new 2011 Fat Bob I am purchasing from Peter Stevens. Should I get a heavy breather and exhaust fitted by them before I get delivery or any other mods you guy's think I should get thanks.

Anything you get on the bike at time of purchase will be covered by the new bike warranty.

I think it's only 3 month warranty if you add parts later.

Yeh Aussie thats why I want to get it right from the start. I have looked at the tts and I think that is the way to go so I will ask if they can install that for me.

If you have the inclination to save a shitload of money, buy the parts, and do it yourself.

I was givena set of Freedom Slip-Ons, bought a Heavy Breather, and a SEPS Tuner, and fitted the Heavy Breather and Pipes in maybe four beers. Mind you, Its a great way to get to know your bike too.

Personally, I can't see the sense in paying some apprentice, who if this forum gives any indication, will do more damage to your bike than you ever could...... when you could give it a crack yourself and learn a bit along the way?

    Best of luck bud.

Go easy on the apprentice calais, not there fault. apprentices are supposed to be supervised  by qualified tradesmen.

Your comments should be directed at someone further up the ladder.

I used to be an apprentice once, now i am a fucken outstanding mechanic with over 35 years experience, that can work on and fix ANYTHING

    No apprentices no tradesmen.

    Cheers Stewy

0k Calais I will try to find where to buy the parts in Adelaide and see how much I can save. But I will still need to get a dyno though after I fit them. I am looking at the Metzeler 880's too.

Calais the Harley rep told me that I couldn't put on the slipons because a buttefly in the y piece had to be reprogrammed to work with the slipons.

If my Harley Tech told me he couldn't fit slip-ons because of the exhaust butterfly, I'd be inclined to tell him what a load of shit he is speaking.

You can leave the butterfly in there working no worries if you like, all it does is reduce performance, and make your exhaust sound like shit during low load operation. Apart from that, you'd never even know it's there.
