I've got an 2011 Street Bob and my low fuel light isn't turning off even after filling up. The fuel light stays on all the time and on the speedo display is just says r - - - -. I ran it pretty low (range somewhere between lo and 40kms), left it for maybe a week then filled up . Went for a couple of shortish rides (20-30kms) and the fuel light still stays on. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried resetting the range function by holding the button on but no go. I had a look in the manual and it says to call your dealer if the fuel light statys on. I live about 6 hours from the nearest dealer so was hoping to sort this myself.

i got same prob as well - low fuel light is always on - i thought that i might be the sender but i have no idea of how to check it - any tips?

the low-fuel light on my 08 was on when i bought it and the prick is still shinin just as brightly and i'm getting to have feelings for it - i guess it's a sensor that i got to replace but i have no idea where to look - i don't have a workshop manual for the 08 - any ideas anyone?

Must be a float problem, I know on my boat the float gets stuck on the empty, is it hard to remove from the tank?

When I picked up my wide glide from the Stealers I was warned not to "overfill" above the flat plate in the tank opening otherwise the float will get stuck..... but apart from shacking the bike with the tank quite full i cant think of anything else that can be done other than giving the Stealers a call

I'll give the stealers a call and can probably get it fixed under warranty. Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem for me to ride around until then.
