An old topic i know and a heap of opinions, but i would like to get an up to date view of peoples thoughts on the best tyres for my XL1200C with mine at the end of life.

Dunlops at present, but not sure i would go with them again as they dont grip well in the wet. Any thoughts on Avon's, Pirelli's, Metzelers ?

15k so far and probably another k left in them. Am considering Metzeler's, but they have a shorter life (10-12k) and i read a post saying that when they get to mid life handling can become a little unpredictable

In the process of changing my stock Dunlops with Metzelers, the front Metzler is on, rear going on soon.

I am up to about 14,900kms on my Iron, had it from new for just under a year now.

I reckon the stock Dunlops are $hit! I had them to spec all the time to the manual (30psi front 40psi Rear) but the front developed fine cracks and the rear is pretty bald.

Ill let you know how I go with the Metzelers. I have heard they outlast the dunlops heaps, not the other way around but I guess ill find out.

I got mine for $350 front and back, Harley wanted $350 just for a rear! Pays who you know I suppose, i just hate getting ripped off
