    Hi Guys,

I am looking for a recomended map for a Power Commander V fitted to my 2009 Softail Custom fitted with heavy breather kit & V&H Big Radius 2into2 exhaust. Have downloaded maps from Power Commander website & am going to try maps M15-004-003, M15-004-072 & M15-004-074.

Any suggestions as to any better maps.

I was having problems with decel popping so tried this suggestion as stated on PC website, worked a treat.

Q: I am happy with the way my bike runs, but it “pops” during decel. Is there an adjustment I can make that might help with this?

A: Some decel popping is unavoidable with certain exhausts, but there are things you can do to reduce or even eliminate it in most cases. The first thing we strongly recommend is replacing the exhaust gaskets. Most people tell us “mine are fine, I don’t feel a leak”, but after changing them they find that the popping is reduced. Also, check all exhaust joints for leaks. Tighten all clamps and replace any gaskets that can be replaced.
Once the above is done and you still have popping we can move on to the fuel map. Open the map you are currently using. In the 0% TP column from 2,000 RPM and higher enter a value of 20. Click upload and ride the bike. Often this is the only change that is required. You can also add a value of 10-15 in the 2% column from 3,000 RPM and higher (in addition to the 0% adjustment).

    Thanx guys

Thanks for the info. Loaded up the M15-004-078 map yesterday with you 10-12 suggestions, did a 350km ride yesterday out west, found big increase in top end power. Runs smooth as hell right up to top revs.... Also lot smoother right thru rev range, just a bit of decel popping so increased 0% range to 15, decel popping almost gone now.

Just find the idle is slightly high sometimes. Would lowering the 1000-2000 0% range fix this?

Thanks again man for the help, greatly appreciated!!!!
