    Hi All,

I would really like to give these a try myself on the next tyre change but not sure how they would go with ABS or even if they make the correct sizes for my 2012 roadking. Would really like to see some more feedback/info from some aussies who are using these on their hogs too.

Well i have done just over 3 thousand Ks and i still think they are better than the Dunlop. They look like they are wearing very well at this stage. They seem to be very smooth and corner very well and hang on as i do intend to corner very hard.So far so good .As i said time will tell about how many Ks they do.I don't know what they are like in the wet as we have not had any rain, plus i try not to ride in the wet.To old for that shit anyway.

Thanks Maddog.... I ordered a pair late last thursday night from Jake Wilson in the USA for my Roadking cost $380 delivered, bugger me if they didnt arrive today (Monday at 12:30pm). Wow!!

I have done 16500klm (8000ks in one trip) on my original dunlops so far and probably have a bit more to go but wanted to try a different brand/style of tyre, as it turned out I spoke to a dyna rider on the weekend who put the commander 2 on his bike and he loves it, his words were "heaps better than the dunlop" he felt it had better cornering and ride.

I rode around Oz fully loaded on a flht in around 18 days and got 14000 out of a commander 2..... a bit disapointing considering the 40,000 k hype, but not too bad as the tyres didn't get much of a chance to cool down.

I have done around 800k on the new commander 2s and they feel a better ride than the original dunlops did and for me two up seemed to handle the corners better and some of those pretty tight so far I like them, but winter will tell how much confidence they give eh!

I've put about 3000k on the rear commander two, seems to corner ok I the wet but the rear end let go when powering on up a straight in the wet, I'm not a fan of em changing to a Pirelli on wed. Don't feel any where near as grippy as the Shinko 777 I had on but  then I only got about 6000 out of them on the deluxe. Would rather have grip than longevity in my tyre!

40k on a tyre is quite doable , could even make a out of a harder compound that might to twice that,
    BUT
harder the tyre compound the worse the handling

then theres the old "upto" in the add, 10k is also upto 40k

Went to get a new rear Avon Venom x fitted to the rear of my glide today. They stopped making them......... Got 18k kms and the fronypt is still god for a few more. But got bailed up by the Michelin rep who 'promised me' 20k kms or he would replace the set! Fair use of course.
Anyway, the set are being fitted as we speak after a bit of persuasion by him. I'liked the venoms. Quiet and smooth with grip that I couldnt fault. Its my daily ride so'it gets a bit of stick too. Will see how the miches go and report back.

I've had a set on for about 4-5000km. I ride 160km a day in all conditions from mountains to freeways to the melbourne CBD.

If you plan on lots of dry weather riding these tyres are great. I've been really happy with them in the dry, they are smoother and quieter than the scorchers I had on previously with no vibes from the front. They also tip in and hold a line really well in corners.

In the wet it's another story, the rain we have had in the last week has been the first real rain in 2 months so the roads are hella slippery but that just meant I was riding accordingly, still the rear was breaking traction under gentle acceleration in a straight line. I also had the rear step out on me on several separate corners.

As I ride in all conditions I need good wet weather grip as well, I'm going to play with the rear tyre pressure a bit and probably see this set out but at this stage I won't be putting on another set. At least not on my daily rider.

Mine are doing ok. Ride almost daily and havent noticed anything out of the ordinary in the wet. But then i do ride very different when wet.
They are much better than my venoms at coping with white lines and stright line grooves. Very stable.
About 3k kms now and showing no sign of wear or scalloping. Happy so far.

Mine are wearing really well, still nice and round.

My initial thoughts in the wet have changed the more rain we've had and the cleaner the roads have gotten. They aren't has toey now but you still need to ride accordingly.

I'm super happy with them at 13,000km so far, I can see them doing at least 30k but we shall see if 40k is doable. I'm looking into switching to 21/18 so might not see this set wear out but I'd definitely choose commanders for my next set.

ill try and post a pic of the rear in the next day or two.

Hi Guys As i said i would get back to you when i got back from Townsville.Well i'm back after a very safe and interesting trip.We did about 6000 ks with a bit of wet weather on one day "All Day" and the michelin tyres handled very well as we did not slow down much. Two of us had them tyres and are both very impressed.Very smooth and they have worn very little.I have done 12000 khs and i reckon they have worn about 2 ml.My Mate has done about 7000khs on his and is also very happy with them. I will be buying them again When this one wears out.I run a 200 by 17.

Have a Commander 2 on the back of my Switchback and 40,000 k is a bit of a stretch. I've done 21,000 so far not quite to the wear indicator. I reckon I'll get 25,000k. No problems at all with the tyre. Grip and feel are great. Will be replacing with the same.
