Funny ya's should mention that....have spoke to bro a few times over the last cpl months, ive been planning to get his crew over this way to take them over Mt Glorious and Mt Mee and of course inviting all you guy's.....but seems we have a ride in that area in a cpl of weeks i was thinking postponing that idea and us going out that way instead.....i actually just sat down here to start a thread to find out if anyone was interested in that idea..... ( for the third time ) .....anyways here's a tip or 2, due to the mining and gas well boom accomodation can be scarce.
Miles: Great ride, dead town the few times ive been there, but that was during the day, have no idea about accomodation.
Chinchilla: Buzzing town, at least 3 new motels, and a few old ones, pretty good pub ( club hotel ) .......damn shame bro doesnt have the tatts still, he would of put on some jelly wrestling and a band.
Condamine: Highly Recommended, rustic pub, lots of big timber and corrogated iron but very clean, great atmosphere, but i think all the accomodation will be booked out.
Anyways if someone wants to get the ball rolling count me in.....cept for the 15th of oct.
Been out to St George a couple of times for an overniter, great place if you dont mind the 1100 km round trip. Place to stay is the Australian Hotel / Motel.
Or for a shorter distance Kingaroy is also good.
