Here is just a quick opion on the new HD Led lights main & spot.

I got them from Harley Heaven they arrrived on Friday they are a early fathers day gift from the wife, couldn't wait to put them on. Easy as hell to install anyone could do it all plug & play. If you are looking for a great light & have the dollars then do it you will not be sorry. I went for the black back & used the chrome rings from the old lights gives it a good contrast to go with the bike.

The light beam from the main & the spots are briliant just so much better then the standard you can see so much more of a night, the beam spreads out well across the road. I did try a HID but had a few issue most likely just the brand so never when down that road again.

Here are some pic's sorry no pic's of the beam on the road

I have a Softail Deluxe and the spot lights on mine are actually fog lights, is this the same with yours?

I have thought about wiring them up to my high beam for extra lighting.

They look nice and bright :-)

Like the look of the Black LED setup, I have the black headlight ring so the conversion would look great. Last weekend I spotted a set on the wall at Trivett Harley.

Cost lots of bucks but I think I will get one for my bike. I think the price was around $680.

    Hi Steamer

This is the first I have of the dampner, as I have the wing you get a bit of wobble from that so I haven't notice more then that mate. But you will like yours when you get it on it makes a big difference.

I just googled the part number in images & it looks just like a rubber block, fits where who knows.

It may be a rubber coat block of metal. Rubber so it wont cut or short any thing electrical inside the housing. The weight probably works on the same idea as teh handle bar and foot peg dampners, they change the mass of the fitting and so change its natural vibration resonance frequency. Pretty much a 'hit or miss' solution for vibration though. I would work on the idea of ' if there is already a weight in there, leave it in there, if there isn't one, dont fit one' - because surely a filament globe is going to be more sensitive to vibration than a solid state LED ?
