KiwiDaves right, you see your got an oil tank higher than the motor, you have a ball in a seat to stop oil going from  oil tank to motor. but leave them standing a long time the oil eventually leaks past the ball seat, unless its a really good seal at the ball seat.

your engine case is small so not much room for a lot of oil. when you fire them up too much pressure in crank case so the oil gets pushed out crank case breather. just find were your crank case breather goes, if it finishes up under your bike. next time your starting it put something under the crank case breather to catch the oil .after they blow the excess out it stops leaking. a good long run fix's that up.

    G'day brendo,
As was said by Bangkok Bob on another thread you are looking at 3-4 1/2 for a shop to do the work.
How mechanically savvy are you? . If you can do the work yourself (by this I mean take it apart and
back together again.) then you can factor in parts (Gasket Kit, Rings, Valves, etc. And if needed .10 thou over pistons as well)
And what a shop will charge you for Re-bore if needed. The rest you can do yourself if you have the know-how.
Cost of a replacement motor? Hell, you could get something smokin' for 7 grand, sell your motor for 4 and have a 3 grand diff.
If you are going to go the shop way let me know and I'll PM you a couple of places.
    Cheers,
    Cris.
