Nope not a poll!!

What is the thread on the bolts that hold ur saddlebags on a 2001+ heritage and where can I get the acorn nuts at a reasonable price to fit. Last price I got was $6.00 each!!

I just go to a local bolt place , they  get heaps of  Harley guys looking for bolts n stuff  and take a sample down there too   . I was looking for the same thing and to save a bit , I went to an allen key style , sure it's not an acorn nut but the allen key ones are a buck' and do the same job .

Burnzzzzzy mate... I dont understand why you'd want ACORN nuts INSIDE the saddlebags anyway???  no one's going to see them ...

& as Acorn nuts have a limited thread length they may not screw in far enough to hold the bags on with out rattling ????? ..

Wozza Wozza Wozza anyone with Heritage saddlebags will tell ya that each saddlebag will fit a slab in it, but all the cans/stubbies will fall on the ground as ya pull em out of the bags cos the bastard threads hangin out the OEM nuts will rip the packagin open. makin u look like a fukn dickhead when ya do the pubrun.

On the other hand if you fit acorns which have jus the right amount of thread to hold ur bags tight (and lets face it there aint nothin like havin ur bag held tight) .........where was I?????? Oh yeah... u will once again be the fukn biker legend when u turn up to the party with 2 saddlebags of grog intact and ready to parrrrrtttttttttaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy! Oh and remove large breasted womens clothing

I bought my chrome plated acorn nuts for my saddlebags from Bunnings. Can't remember the price, but a bloody good price for a pack of 8, I think.

I prefer the acorn nuts so you don't rip ya knuckles open on the threads, and ya can always cut back to bolts so they are short enough so the acorns bolt up tight. That's what I did.
