Sorry mate, I have a 2010 Fatbob. I am sure it only comes with a 180 rear but someone here was saying they had a 200 rear on their standard rim and that it just fits. I am looking for an altenative to the standard or the Metz as I am dissapointed with both as a drive tyre.

So I guess I am looking for feedback on the Avon tyre as well as its fittment on a Fatbob.

    Cheers- Ant

Interested to know if the Metz you tried was a German or Brazillian one. Never had a traction issue with the German ones.

Another option is the Michelin Commander II which they make in a 180/16. Still waiting to hear reports on these.

    Burto.

Will check and report back once I get home Burto, let you know tonite. I have made a few enquiries and Rocket from on here has fitted a 200 on his std rim in an Avon and is loving it-

    Cheers -Ant

Interesting.. My rear Metz is made in Germany but my front is made in Brazil.
So far I've been happy with both...

Put 880's on my Fatbob a couple of months ago after a two up scare with the Dunny's. The 880's are the bomb and the missus reckon's the ride is better as a passager aswell. Only did 16000 on the Dunny's, and I know a couple of people who done lest on them before pissing em off.

There are fifty reviews here on 880s:

I have Metz 880s and compared to the original Dunlops they are magic, especially with braking, but the Dunlops had been on the bike five or six years when I bought it and were the originalswith next to no k's on them so they had probably hardened up.

Had metzlers on the kwaka 900 35 years ago.

They were the best then, we all ran them on our dirt bikes as well Enduro guttsy tyres

Fitted them to my streetbob when the dangerous dunlops wore out.

    STILL THE BEST

They ok if ya putt around, get big mileage ,but if ya ride
hard you will find that they don't grip like other tires and
often lose traction in wet and dry. Each to there own but
as has been said you need confidence in what's under you
and I have had scares on a few occAsions on diff bikes with
    dunlops.

it doesn't matter what brand or how good they are if you have no confidence in them you will not enjoy the ride. Only way to find what works for you is try them. Can be a long and expensive process but when you get the ones you like it will all have been worth it.

but if you change the wheels like me to 18" instead of 16" then you would already have some nice dunlops from the VRod range and save 7kgs on wheel weight
