these bloody fatbob tyres are shit and only half worn down

couldn,t get off the lights at one time just spinnin all over the place

if you even touched a white line or painted bit on the road you were over it

worst ride i have ever done and scarey

cant wait to get rid of them

Yeah bugger that mate, confidence is the one thing you need in your tyres in the wet although I don't think any tyres would help when on a wet white line.

if its them 407s im not keen on em ,i think the radial tyre in that pattern traps the water on tyre and doesnt release like it should .i find k591 sportster tyre better ,dry and wet even though narrower .col and i have come off with them 407s on wet white lines .

I have stayed with standard dunlops on a 08 fxdc. Seem to be okay had a few scares but hey who hasnt. We ride mostly two up no complaints. Have up graded to ohlins front and rear and had bike lifted. Doesnt scrape now(well only sometimes) Changed pipes for more clearance.

Metzler 880s without any doubt. I'm an old Britbike guy, so I value handling. The stock tires don't provide it. You will likely note that the front end "harshness" will also improve a lot. I thought they had repaved the streets at first. Noticeable difference.

i learn't the hard way how good the Fatbob standard tyres are in the wet. Not good sliding 100+ metres up the road. i am too changing to Metz 880s.

Personally don't think anyone will lay their bike's over far enough to find out the difference and if you do I reckon either your pegs or exhaust will be the things to bring you undone, if your hooning in the wet then your just asking for it. I have no confidence issues at all with the Dunlop's in the wet and I get great mileage out of them got about 5000k's on them now and about a third wear.

Fitted the Metzlers and while I like the front grip especially in the wet, the back tire for drive is

terrible. Cannot open the throttle hard in first or second in the wet or dry and found the factory

Dunlop better on the rear. After reading here I am keen to try an AVON 200 on the back, has anyone

here fitted the 200 on a std rim??

    Regards- Ant

my 200 Metz is better than the avon was. Which standard rim are you talking about?

I know some have on the standard Wideglide rim but I wouldn't.

They need at least a 5.5" rim width
