All interested people are advised that I plan on a ride to Kynuna on Saturday 3rd September, leave Mt Isa from the Highway at the front of the Overlander @ 8am and have breaky at the Roadrunner and chuck some fuel in the cycle then next stop is the pub at McKinlay for a couple of drinks then onto Kynuna and have the afternoon and night at the Kynuna Pub. Sunday morning 8.30 would depart and go back to Roadhouse at McKinlay and have a meal then onto Cloncurry and return to Mount Isa.

Any one interested would need to book a room at the Kynuna pub or take a swag.

Yes that's the pub used when Crocodile Dundee was made but it has been moved up to the Highway since then.

The Blue Heeler is the pub at Kynuna but if there is not enough accommodation there I think the Roadhouse has a caravan park with a couple of cabins

There is a bit of road works happening between McKinlay and Kynuna but just need to slow down and take care and all should be fine.

There are a couple of stretches about 500 yards long but that was a couple of weeks ago now so they may be a bit shorter.

Has anyone heard form Ubes whether he will be in town at that time.

Just  thinking if he wants he could climb on the old Wide Glide with me if he wants as its to far for dear wife to sit on the back, she may drive down instead though and join us but  not sure just depending if she needs to watch the grand kids or not.

Been over 12 months since  the last ride there and have been doing it for the last 3 years so looking forward to it very much.
