Take the Rocket Angus
I was in the thunder run today and a rider was down, herd he hit a roo .
Does anyone know if this is true?
and is he ok?
swbob.... yep true. Was talking to the guy riding behind the one hit, and he said the bloody big roo actually landed right on the bloke on the bike!! He knew he hit the bitumen pretty hard and got knocked out, but didn't know how he was after that because they got them all riding through again to finish the run.
Update: He is fine .I spoke with Doc Robinson (Heavy Duty magazine) this morning at my mates bike's photo shoot.
He was up and about at the concert last night and they gave the guy some kind of award.
Fuckin roos,to many down here,I missed one by about 6" on the way to the thunder run about 10 mins before it started.

Talk on the street is that there are as many as 30 homes lost, including an historic Homestead (Ellensbrook House) over 150 years old.
Spoken with my brother and some mates down that way and the wind has died down however is expected to swing round and pick up tonight. Margaret River townsite is not yet out of harm's way.
Fingers crossed . . . . .
