Need a little info. Just bought a 1983 FXRS.  The blinkers stay on while you hold the swich, but as soon as you let it go they stop working?

Is this how they work?, or should they stay on once the indicator switch is is un thumbed?

How do yours work?

got a 83 fxrs and my indicators stay on until you turn them of,has yours got buttons or rocker style switches.

Is the switch is only a momentary type, need a latching relay to hold on I would think, pm evilshovel for info, he has just done his ride.

Check out www.badlandsmotorcycleproducts.com they make a unit that will make ur indicators stay on for 11 secs and you can also run LEDs if you want

Yep.....thats how they work on the old beast's....unless it is an auto off it's illegal to have indicators that stay on these days, apparently ..........think it might be USA rules, dont know.

Thanks for all the input. I contacted Badlands, and they put me in touch with Rollies speed shop here on the east coast, and they have a unit for $ 94 incl postage, so thats the way I will go
