Get the bike checked thoroughly, even if you have to pay for an indie report, nothing worse than some banana repairer overlooking a bent frame (been there.. not good).

Full face, yup I'm all over that, the thought of a crash in an open face just... not good, bone just isn't all that crash resistant! I went a white dirt bike style helmet, seems to really upset some Harley folks.. and thats just fine by me!

Sorry to hear about your accident mate. I havnt gone down yet but everytime im coming up to an intersection i get ready to fly. Full face all the way..."the look" is over-rated!

I have nearly had so many of these in the city around peak hour cozza, so I know what you mean when you talk about slowing to 30 next to the frozen lane.... even had one last week where I ended up doing a front wheel stand to avoid a ute that ripped into my lane (thank shit it wasnt wet).

Grab yourself a guardian bell(), some upgraded brakes and you will feel safe as houses.

Fuck man I feel for ya, just glad your ok. I use my bike everyday and see alot of shit on the roads, reading what happened to you made me go and buy a new helmet today. If ya need a hand fixing your bike let me know, i swing spanners for a living. Hope to see ya back on the road real soon!

Glad to hear you are ok. I could have very easily had an accident yesterday too. On the way to work along the rural roads, ute behind me, nothing in front. I waved the guy through to pass which he did. 3k later as I came round a bend where the overtaking lane starts, there he is facing the wrong way in a ditch. If I had not let him pass that 3k before, he would of probably ploughed right into me as he overtook at that overtaking lane.

Always wear a full face myself and although i dont always match the 'image' i dont give a rats. Had a few scrapes in the past which makes me very cautious with what i wear on my head

Bad news Cozza. Everybody should be made to do a 1 day bike course before they get their licence. Fukn ignorant idiots on the roads.

Full face is the way to go. matt black Shoei does the job well for me.

Glad you made it man ,it fuckn shits me how these twits will risk a life to get even one car space further in the line .
5 k's faster and I would have most likely ended up in a similar accident ,as it was i barely stopped ,nearly went over the bars and generally got bashed up by my bike as it bucked and bounced .I had to pull over as I got a bit winded .The young bird who pulled out was all sorry and shit and I can only hope she doesnt do it again .That was the worst of about 5 incidents like that over the last couple of months.Ive been down a few times in opens and full faced and apart from eating some dirt I still managed to keep my teeth but this post has got me thinking of going back to a full face in heavy traffic .
