SE 110 revving up and Idle

Sure does piss you off, like most things intermittent they never play up when you want them to. I have had the bike back to the shop about 10 times and have it booked in again next week. Each time it goes in they try something else. So far they have tried every sensor in the fuel injection system and they have even replaced the main computer black box to no avail. They have tried ten different fuel maps and in the end went back to the original that they put in with the cam I had put in from new . All of a sudden it started to blow a bit of smoke from the front cylinder so it went in and they put a camera down the plug hole and found that there was about 2 teaspoons of what looked like oil or fuel sitting on the piston. Thinking that it may have a leaking valve guide seal and was leaking onto the piston they pulled the motor down to the crankcases and in fact did find a leaking guide seal. I had them hone the bore and replace the rings, reseat the valves, put a new set of gaskets in. $1600 bucks later I have gotta say I was keen to get it back and give it a run down the road , thinking that we had it beat this time, I mean what the fuck do you have to do. Within ten klms it was idling up again and the weird thing is it would start to idle normally a few klms later. So back to the shop we go again, totally bald now from constantly pulling my hair out. The mechanic, also bald and not from age but frustration said he just wanted to pull the injectors out to have a look and found the front cylinder was black while the rear was clean. It was probably from the leaking injector but I live in hope that maybe it was sending false info to the sensors and causing it to idle up for some reason. Back on the road again and before I got to the end of the street it was idling up. They are now talking about trying a new manifold in case it has a hairline crack that is  affected by the heat. So thats where the story ends for now, not the problem just the story. I will try your suggestion of turning the ignition on and off 4 times with my right hand. Resetting the computer sounds about right but considering they have have put a new computer in with no change to the problem I dont like my chances. Give me naturally asperated carberation anyday.

Well I took the bike to the Dyno Tuner thinking that maybe they could sort it out. The bike performed to the max and actually put out 104 bhp to the back wheel which is bloody great for a V twin and even impressed the mechanic causing raised eyebrows and the expression FUCK ME.Well it is a 110ci screaming eagle and should perform. So the bike is powering and I took it home, but with in minutes it was idling up AGAIN. The last time it went to the dyno they did a printout of it,s performance and everything looked great but when you magnified the result on idle ( magniffying the result means bringing the it up 4 or 5 times and being able to look deeper into a certain part of the rev range). On doing that we found out that mr squiggle had been there on acid. The map was all over the place with squiggly lines jumping everywhere and very irratic instead of being a relatively smooth line. The dyno dude said that the computer was dumping extra fuel at idle. Which makes sense to me with the problem I have. The mechanic played with it on his computer adjusting fuel levels around 1000 to 2000 revs and I have to say that it has made a difference in the way that it stops it idling up for as long, so maybe we are almost there. It is dissapointing when you go with Harley products expecting perfection and getting something less. I reckon that,s the way it,s going with Harley Davidson, down hill. Give me naturally aspirated anyday.
