Hey guys, i have recently fitted a Lepera barebones LF-006 (04-06) seat to my Iron (which is basically bolt on), then i looked at a pillion option for my miss's, it seems that Lepera do not make a pillion for this kind of setup, so i did some looking around and a little measuring and even spoke to Lepera themselves, and it looked like the L-006P would be the closes fit. So i went and ordered one, upon arrival i noticed that all i needed to do was make a new rear bracket for it and it would fit, the Iron's bolt hole is 40mm further than what came with the pillion seat, so an easy task it was, i found some spring steel (nice and strong) and bent/cut/drilled for 15 minutes and hey presto it fits. I decided to paint it matt black and will look at getting it powder coated some time in the future.
    Regards Andrew

Andrew, how does the Mrs find it? Comfortable for short rides? I realise its only small and wont provide much comfort for the passenger

She dosnt have any issues, i took her for a 40 min ride and she finds it very comfortable, if your pillion has any issues get them to go on a jap bike and they love the Harley no matter what seat it has! Hey she thinks it'll be fine for at least an hour ride! If your stopping every now and then you/she should be fine.

Andrew, how is the main seat ride in comparison to the original one? Is it more comfortable? I really like the leather finish much better than the 48 original...

Viob, Compared to the original Iron seat it is firmer, after an hour or so your ass gets a little sore, nothing to really complain about yet, but you can get them with the gel insert which i hear helps...

looks good, how's the paint gonna cope under the extension? just thinking if/when you take the pillion pad off, you'll have a rubbed spot.
