Hay all I just recieved my racetech springs and gold emulator and just wondering if anyone has fitted these to there Dyna.

I have a 2010 FXDC with 49mm fork tubes and after reading the destructions am a little unsure of how much oil to add.

Because the kit they sent me is listed for a v-rod and not a dyna,I checked to make sure they were the right ones and I am

pretty sure they are the right ones, but the destructions are for a v-rod and there is a fair bit of dfference in the oil levels in the ractech

manual and the dyna manual,I mean in the dyna manual the messurement from the top of the fork tube too the oil is 95 mm and the racetech

manual says 130 mm.So should I go with the dyna manual or the one that came with the springs and emulator (remembering that the one's I got with the racetech gear states that its for a v-rod)

Any Ideas as I'm tempted to lean more towards the dyna manual but don't want to have to pull the front end apart twice if I get it wrong..

    Cheers WAZ...

... will be watchin with interest.. as I think I may well go with the Racetech and emulators, but at the moment waiting on delivery a fork Brace and Sputhe Engennering Positrac stabilizer ... I was uncertain as what to choose for my ride 08 Dyna SG .. but I guess if I email them they will refer me to the right set up .. for my wieght and riding style... ? How did you go about choosing your set up ?

Congrats on your delivery.. I'm sure they hold them in customs ... just to piss us off...

There is a dealer for racetech in Oz Noodle,so no probs getting the gear
I didn't deal direct through them though I got mine through a local bloke here
who gets a lot of gear off them. As far as I know they only nead your VIN.
As for setting them up you do that yourself. The emulator has an adjustment
screw you set, your given a starting point for this setting and they say most never
need to alter from that point.Given that it sits inside the fork tube down near the
bottom I don't think I would be too keen to go playing around with the settings either.
You can also adjust the preload seeting by cutting the preload tube too what ever length
you require a little longer for the larger bloke (me) a little shorter for the lighter rider.

.. thanks Waz and Hilly, Yeah.. the more information that is made available, the more confidence we can go out and part with our 'hard earned' .... but to me so very well worth it in the long run..

Thank's for that Hilly,That's the same as the instructions (for a v-rod) that I got with the kit.
But that's what I was after, just a second opinion to confirm that it was ok for the Dyna also.

    Cheers mate!!
