Ordered a set of Metzlers as the $hithouse Dunlops are exactly that. I have always had them to the owners manual specs psi wise and the front has fine cracks all over it. The rear is worn as I do accelerate hard from a stop most of the time.
HH will not cover them under warranty eventhough it's not even a year old as tyres apparently cant be covered under warranty. Pretty crap life from them, as the Iron is not even a year old.
Will be changing the tyres myself and just wondering how everyone raises their bike off the ground to take the wheels off. Pics are welcome. I do not have a lift but am thinking of some sort of 'fat jack' that the service manual keeps mentioning.
Buy a lift from Repco !!!
Get an IB Lift the other lifts are way too chunky, with the IB Lift you can work on both sides of the bike and not worry about the lift being in the way.
Also their light to carry around, if you have to transport them to another spot they fit easy in the boot of any car, they don't take up much space in the garage.

For the price you cannot go past the Repco bike jack, if you shop around you can find it for $149 dude, the handle slips out and the rest of the jack really isnt in the way of working on your bike. Price/Function the Repco jack gets a 10/10, there are better jacks on the market but the price starts getting out of control. Andrew
I have a Becker Enterprises HD Sportster Compact Lifter.
It suits my needs but you do need to be careful raising the bike with it. Here is some more info about it.

It does have a very small footprint.
I just bought one on ebay for $150 (+$25 postage to melb). Just search for 1500lbs motorcycle lift.
Cheers.
