next week (QLD only?) ALDI will have a few bike things among which is a bike stand.

Given how much shit needs to be done with the bike standing upright/ lifted I was wondering whether this would be worth it... would it fit my '91 FXR?

Have had nothing but good experiences with ALDI gear...

or how do you guys do your 'upright' servicing? missus helping out...?

Providing the size fits, their gear isn't too bad at all. A simple pipe jack works well for lifting them up. The race stand they are advertising might be pushing it with the weight involved. I personally wouldn't be trying it on with one. If you're in Brisbane I'll lend you a pipe jack and you can get one copied from it. Any welder can make it up. just pm me for details.

    And NSW.
Bought a GPS a while back. Nothing flash but it does the job. Sock are OK but my daughter claimed them. I'll be sending her in with a shopping list.

As Beagle say's, make sure it can handle the weight of your bike, if so, its problably worth a try, might check em out meself.

Just checked em out online.....NUP, dont buy one, they are more suited to dirt bikes or small road bikes.

thanks for your advice guys. Beagle, thanks a lot for the offer, I might come back to you on that when the time gets closer; much appreciated!

had a look at those on offer in the motorcycle supermarket in Moss St on the weekend and only then realised that weight will be an issue as they all appeared to max out around 100kgs...

Generally all there bike gear seems to be smaller than the size indicates - try them on.
