Ok I know others have posted about the 2009 bikes but lets talk purely about tourers

Lots of "hidden" changes but the most visual for me is the new pipe setup .. I really dont know if I like it ...different but not sure ... hope that part of the pipe going under the frame is well protected. even tho it is useless really

what, if any, changes would make someone upgrade?

some interesting colours too ... I am personally happy with my bike and really have no thoughts of upgrading within 5 years or so, if not longer ... plus I dont have the cash to upgrade every two years lol

I had a look at the Harley Website and naturally checked out the RoadKing Classic. Looks the same, but yes the frame changes, not an issue.
I was wondering about the exhaust pipe underneath as well.......I notice they have fiddled with the rear wheel compensator ( the rubber drive thingy)
As far as ride by wire goes, it works perfectly, actually you forget it hasn't got a throttle x2 cables. What sold me was the Road King Classic write up in Heavy Duty magazine, they gave the 08 model a good review. I didn't notice the colours as I'm a black man.

I posted the other day about this. I can't believe they've INCREASED the weight of the RKC. Didn't check the others. The weight increase more than negates the improvement in torque. You'd think that if they were re-designing the frame, they'd make it lighter. Doesn't look like they've added any extra stuff that would weigh a lot.
