Can anyone recommend a good chrome plater in Brisbane. I would like to chrome my tappet covers, crankcase covers etc.

I was going to buy a set of Willyg Skull covers (air/derby/timing) from the states, but with postage ($107 fucking dollars) it worked out cheaper to buy them locally...
So would the chromed engine covers be the same Thruster, or is that with postage? Any chance you have a link?
Plus the ones I looked at the guy suggested you have to buy their covers (timing , derby etc) , but that can't be right can it? Surely the clip on chrome covers just go over the ones already there?

Yes, they are a perfect fit (and a lot cheaper). You can also get chrome kits off of ebay as well for a little bit cheaper price, although I am not sure how they fit-the seller says they are a perfect match.

Here in the states we can get primaries chromed and anything else for a LOT cheaper than what an actual chrome primary replacement cover costs. I think on HD.com they are around $350. We get them done for around $150.

I thought it sounded like BS Thruster, but the site was recommended by someone on here I think. I then thought maybe they'd added a 0 by mistake (so $17 for post) but that didn't sound right either so I just thought they could shove it where the Sun don't shine.

I may price a set of the chrome cvers the next month or so. I did want to grab an Xied (or whatever its called) but they haven't answered my email - which usually doesn't make me a companies most loyal customer... :) I need to find a way to do this without my wife knowing...lol.

    07 model 883 sporty to be exact. <img src=
And where do you read what bikes they are for? I thought anything HD, 07 model plus, EFI unless specifically told otherwise, but I have NFI and to be honest I'd rather a recommendation than reading through the piles of gibberish I've been met with so far :) So not the 02 IEDs either? My bike runs well, but it can never run "too well".  I was originally going to look at something that you could connect through a laptop, but was told this was a better alternative and I'd prolly choke on the price - especially since I've spent a small fortune lately.
