Last year I bought plenty of parts for my Softail from the States, all genuine HD, Pegs, Grips, Console, Mirrors etc etc.

Recently I was looking at the SE Heavy Breather filter, a few month back it was over $540 local, and $290 from states plus $40 shipping.... I bought it from Frasers Sydney 4 weeks ago for $320, all prices have come down and are competitive with US prices plus it was in stock and i got it on the spot.

Even the bikes have come right down in price and last week they offered a further $2000 off the RRP any of the bikes, $30k on road for a new Rocker, $25k for a Softail standard, $27k for a Fat Boy Lo etc etc

Check with your local HD dealer before you write them off, and always ask for a deal, remember they still have to pay rent, wages, utilities etc but most will look after you if your not being rude.

Just my 2 cents.

I honestly don't see what all the bitchin is about. Every part (correct me if I'm wrong) on a Harley can be sourced from aftermarket companies and is a better and cheaper quality part, as someone previously said. I can't think of any part on a Harley that isn't available in aftermarket. Tank badges maybe. And my coffee mug.   

All this may be a bit of a mute point as the aussie dollar dropped below the US today.

The Yanks are bankrupt and their upset about a ratings downgrade, fucken hell what a joke, no wonder the markets are going mad.
