Hi all, my brand new sexy black xl 883 arrived early, picked it up friday lunch time wooohooo. Mate who dropped me off took a couple of pics and when he showed me said i looked like i was in love, haha. To be honest i was a little apprehensive but she is beautiful The shop is about 10 k,s away but i managed to do around a 100 to get home, worst part was a realy big black mean motherfucker Qld storm got me about 5 ks from home. It came down so hard i couldnt see the back of the bus in front of me, shit i nearly made it home to! It was so bad the cars were pulling of the road so i figured best to keep going at least i had to road to myself even if i had to ride by feel. Got home so soaked even had to tip the water out of the boots lol. Well at least she has been christened now and daddy wiped her all clean when we got home Took her for a run around the hills today put on another 350ks and she is realy starting to open out nicely now. Had SE shorty duels, slash out fitted at the shop and they sound great. Got a harley rack fitted to and it looks neat. The tacho turned up as i was picking up the bike and they said i could have it fitted but wouldnt get the bike till next week, well of course i didnt mind waiting like yeah no way do it on the first service thanks mate. Still i would have liked to have had it while running it in. To anybody out there thinking about, even remotely, of buying a sporty go for it!!! I am as pleased as a man could be with my sporty, she has a real beauty to her, almost a work of art in every way without being overdone. I dont know but i have a theory that the boys at harley realy realy like their sporties and they give them that someting special that you dont get in any other motorbike then they go and sell it cheap so anyone can get one. I reckon its their little secret, a love affair with the longest running bike model in the world! Take it easy boys and girls and stay safe!
