Gentlemen,
Have spent stuffing around with what should have been a simple job; which has turned into a fucking nightmare. Pulled my 14' apes of the Sporter, replaced it with a flat broom stick style bar, changed the stock headlight surround to a Nacelle I had powder coated and nothing has gone my way. To top it off, the clutch cable snapped inside the primary cover and I spent the best part of 2hrs digging it out..............
Can someone assist with cable measurement? I had pictured that the original OEM throttle, idle, clutch and brake cable would have all fit with the broomstick....................................couldn't have been further of the mark if I tried. What I have realised is that the broomstick bar I am using is total of 25', the original Iron bars that came on the bike are 30-32' wide and it really makes a massive difference.
Had a look at the Barnett website, which gives a great overview of how to measure the cable if you have them. In my case I am basically starting from scratch, I know what the outer cable needs to be but an wondering whether a method exists to match the inner and outer measurements?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
