Alright so i spoke to the guys in the US that i bought my PM Wheels off and they are also supplying the brakes. Iv changed m order for the moment to just a front and rear caliper and in the mean time they are gonna speak to PM for me and see if a fat bob hub can fit directly into my wheel and then if so it shouldnt b to much of a head ache. Will hopefully just need fat bob lower legs and a new master cylinder.

Guard mounts are at different centres on fatbob legs, and caliper mount offset is also different.
    Why, you say?
So that HD can sell fatbobs in Europe, where high speed roads dictate dual disc preference.
If it was as easy as a simple bolt on, then........
Many might not buy the more profitable fatbob, and.....
HD would supply a kit, to maximise their profit, and......
It would be as common as mud.

The different guard centres and caliper offset are engineered by HD to "prevent" such applications.

As a note, vrod shares fork size, wheel install kit, and fork brace with dyna.

V rod lowers, as has been mentioned many times in many posts, have different dampeners, and length, and other stuff.
You can go that way, but it is equally tricky. And looks a bit funny, as you get a long stanchion, short slider look.

so fat bob lower forks should go straight on as a replacement for my st bob lower forks?

OK so iv got in contact with the guys at trevett harley and they hae to told me they "measured fatbob forks against streetbob forks. The consensus is that you might as well change the whole fork. Because the triple clamps are different and the wheel spacing is different." Now not to sure what i should do cause most ppl are sayin that the lowers slide straight on. Very confused.

Hey mate, just did the fatbob dual disc conversion to my 2011 street bob and found the calipers don't fit (the r/h side goes over the disc and under the mounts but is still a ways out and the left hand caliper not at all) who did your machining or how much did you take off each respectively? Any help would be awesome as I have done everything but and am hangin to ride it! Cheers tiny

IF you use fatbob tree's with the fatbob lowers everything will bolt togeather without any machineing, you will need a axel as well for this way !

you can get a fatbob hub from HD wheels lace it to your rim if you like , use fat bob or wg wheel spacers and axel

I done it on my WG its less work because the fatbob is basically a WG front end !

Cheers mate but don't fat bobs have mags? Or will it still fit a street bob wheel if I go a set of fat bob trees? Also how much wider are the fatbob trees do you know ? You mentioned they are the same as a wg and have a bit more rake in them? Appreciate your time mate!

Hi ya, I have just brought some fatbob (FXDF) sliders (48748-08A) for my FXDC to duel disc it. You say that you had to do some machining could you please expand on this as i may have to follow your procedure. Thanks in advance.
