    Zedman,

I believe Pearcy fitted a set the other month.

Talk to him out at Coota or send him a PM.

Had both but I don't hang off the bike at 100kph around a hairpin to see what the difference between the 2 really is. I do have more confidence in the Dunlops in the wet for some reason, don't know why.

I run nothing but Metzlers on the Heritage and have done so for years. Regularly get 20K out of the rear and have never had a problem with the handling aspect of them regardless of the conditions.

Around town and shorter trips not much difference. If your doing a round oz or over 8k trip put Dunnies on. (especially rear). Only got 8k outta the rear on last trip around, new one in Port Augusta. Front mets still on at 15k.

Got a budy of mine that is getting the ME 880 for his Nightster! I can check if he's got them already and what he thinks. From what I heard is that they are super great for road handling and feel but depending on road surface and a warmer climate, they won't last as long. If you get the 4 seasons throughout the year, then they should be fine!

Been running Metzlers on Road King for years. Got 16,000 out of a rear touring across the States.  IMO better tire than Dunlops.  If you like doing brake slides, backing into corners and lighting up the rear at traffic lights, the Dunlops are hard to beat.  The Metzlers hook up too good for hooning.

    "Anything black and round"

Well, I've imported a bike and the US tyres had to be swapped over for something else to make compliance. I've opted for Metzlers on the basis of you blokes feedback...

I was a fan of Metzlers back in my motocross days so let's see if their knobbie-less tyres are just as good!
