QLD Lane splitting or filtering.... Using bicycle lanes??

I know this topic has come up repeatedly and I have read alot of the ambiguous answers and posts but it is still not quite clear to me.  I was hoping somebody could shed some light on this or point me in the right direction for the answers.

What I have worked out so far for Queensland:

    1.  Lane splitting (at speed in moving traffic) is illegal, so it seems.

    2.  Lane filtering (low speed, stationary ie: traffic lights) is unsure if legal or not, can't seem to find any accurate information...  It appears to depend on the opinion of the copper watching it happen whether to book you or not.

    3.  Using bicycle lanes is legal within 50m entering/leaving a driveway or intersection... ??   (Here is a link to some .pdf brochure that Qld DoT puts out - look towards the bottom of Page 10)

With the bicycle lanes, what constitutes an "intersection" ?   I pass through a heap of traffic lights on my way to and from work, to me that is an intersection.   If I can legally use the bicycle lane then I will, I pay rego and taxes to paint that bloody lane and the bike riders dont.

But yeh I'm more wondering about the lane filtering, I've not done it before as with my luck I'd do it in front of the unmarked coppers and get pinged for it....

    Cheers,

    Shred.

Don't know about QLD, but for anyone interested you can legally use the Bus Lanes in Canberra!
