For a Harley dealer, that's about the figure I've heard before.
Are the bars internally wired ?
    I'll do it for $750 !!

my neighbour done his bike not long ago. bars cables ect lucky if it cost him $200.00 and only a few hours work. $800 sounds (it is) a rip off. find someone else.

Have a go at it yourself and save the $800. Drilled and internally wired my own mini-apes on the FXSTC just for practice because I want to go higher at some stage, and if you've got the service manual it's no big deal - plus there's plenty of videos out there on Youtube to help with parts of the job if you want to see it done. Check the US HD Forums too, lots of threads with photos to help out. The biggest pain is pulling the the molex connectors apart and reconnecting all the pins once you're finishing running the wires. Just slide the tank back until you can reach them - and once out, pry open the locking plate...all covered in the electrical section of the manual.

Granted, this time I didn't have to run a new brake or clutch cable like you might be wanting to do, but if you've got a basic set of tools you should be ok. Just give yourself plenty of time so you're not rushing anything. Having done it, it's not a job I'd be paying someone else to do for me now ...
