How long is a piece of sting?

You need to decide what you want to do first. Are you going for a look and sound or are you going for performance.

Heavy breather can go either way. V & H make some nice looking pipes, some perform better than others. With a large range of sounds.  There are better brand around, but I do like V & H.

The short pipes will normally give you a loud, cracking note, while the longer pipe will give you a deeper note.

For a stock or lightly modified motor you will get better performance overall out off longer twins or 2 into 1's. With a good tuner you may get a bigger max number out of short pipes but will cost you bottom end.

Tuner choses are even wide. From an Auto tuner that you plug in and forget to something like a TTS or SE that you can get base maps for and then dial in. Again depends on what result you want.

Do your research. Search the web. Read the forms. Take everything you read with a grain of salt. Make a decision.

    It Simple See.

I've got a set of those double barrel staggered pipes that Dazza is selling on my nightster. No tuner yet, love them, great sound, bike runs great. Not going to change A/C until I get tuner though. I'm building/modifying a set one 2 in 1 for my bike, but since I have put the DB pipes on I'm in no hurry and will do all my other changes first, then make a decision on the pipes. As the bike progresses ideas change.

yeh the first one has huge postage costs. I checked them out first as it free postage for over 600 dollars. Yet it means clothing
Most companies have this stupid idea that having express post is good.

id rather just have standard post and registered.

Anyone else with stores let me know

Check video out, the V&H Big radius, they sound & look great. Because they are straight through you would lose some mid range torque. http://www.youtube.com/user/sssmour#p/u/1/uhzltjqc_1w
I have since fitted a SE Heavy breather and re-calibrated the TTS Mastertuner and did a 12.9 down the quarter at Willowbank last weekend. Very happy with the look of the pipes and heavy breather.

Some video back in Feb before I fitted the heavy breather.  Best run 13.2 http://www.youtube.com/user/sssmour#p/a/u/2/qsJMjJ1d_ns

hey guys, i recently bought the vance and hynes big radius pipes from M & M cycles, the best service ever, i have bought from mark before also, i got them landed to my door for 600 bucks in AUS, the aussie dealers ( Vance and Hynes) wanted nearly a grand from Australia.
i also have the TTS tuner and have completed my second V tune run on my bike with the heavy breather also and a complete stock motor and let me tell you i have definetly awakened the sleeping dragon.
bike looks great and goes like it never had before. I WILL recommend M&M for parts as long as you have the part no and my current setup on my 07 sportser custom was a very cheap and vastly improved performance enhancement. im happy as pig in shit, go for it DRAIN if thats what your after for your sporty, its your bike so you gotta customise it how you want.
