I've been mulling over the pictures of the new 2012 Dyna Switchback, and maybe it's just me, but with the bags and windscreen removed it reminds me a lot of the old Shovelhead FLHs? You know, swingarm frame, full fenders, fork covers and headlight nacele. Seems to be a lot of similarities...
I love it. Reckon that will be the one for me when time comes to upgrade. Prefer the back model.
Are these coming to Oz???Any one have an idea of price if they are???
I love 'em. Spoke with Paul at SWHD and he reckons they are sweet in the flesh (although he is selling them so he wouldn't say anything less). Under $25k ride away I understand - due here mid October. I have a '78 FL and reckon this would look good alongside it.

Heavt duty mag says the new switchback will be $25.995, cheap?
they come with 103 cuber and abs brakes standard i would have one over a roadking any day
Went to Gasolene Alley this morning and had a look at one. Still had a bit of the wrapping on it but was able to sit on it etc. Found it to be a bit smaller than what I thought, lower and thinner than what I am used to. Bit of a cross between the Bobber and the Heritage in size, wouldn't mind a ride on one just for funnzies. Probably good for around town and short runs but I think I would prefer the ole girl for the big rides.
Anyone bought one of these critters yet?? I was just starting to think about trading my Superglide for a bagger... My local dealer has a black Switchback that I'm hoping to take for a spin this Satdee. 100kg lighter than an RK with 103 motor...I bet it gets along pretty quickly! only three colours though and no blue ones
I took the Switchback for a run last sunday at RHD open day. I had my misses on the back as the next HD we buy will be hers. The bike felt very comfortable and was quiet torquey and easy to throw about in the corners. The two into one exhaust sounds crap and it would be the first thing I would change and the screen had an anoying whistle from 60 to 80kmh. I few other complained about vibration but I only noticed it if lugging in a gear too high. Overall it was a very nice bike to ride and would welcome one in my garage beside the Fatbob.
As for the colours. Red didn't do it for me but RHD also has a Silver and Black ones in the showroom. The Silver is the best looking out of the lot with the contrasting black rims.
