It's now official. As revealed exclusively in the NT News, legendary Australian rock band Cold Chisel will play at the Amphitheatre in Darwin's Botanical Gardens on October 23.

The Top End concert is the fourth of 24 dates in the 'Light The Nitro' tour.

To add icing on what is already a delicious cake the supergroup will supported on tour by iconic Aussie rockers You Am I.

Tickets go onsale at 9.00am on Thursday August 4 through Ticketek.

But anyone who signs up to the band's mailing list at www.coldchisel.com before August 1 will be able to get them two days early.

Frontman Jimmy Barnes said the band couldn't wait to get back on the road together.
