My 07 RKC has rusty exhausts:

 

Does this look normal for 16,000km and two years?? The right pipe (shown) is worse than the left.

just a thought, but would rust converter do any good, just paint it on then hit it with some rattle can heat paint.

Used the Dremel with a wire brush, then some header paint, then the heat gun to cure it.

Or try doing more than 8k a year, better for them to burn out than fade away.
