just picked me up a new 2011 flhrc classic,,

 

its come to my attention that the old girl now runs an oil cooler ,stuk out in the breeze ,,,

can anyone steer me in the direction of an oil cooler gaurd ,, because i do take on a  bit of dirt road work when i am out and about.

You can try using some of the stainless security mesh, looks like fly screen, that is around these days. Cut it to shape and fold it around the coil body . Drill holes where required. Make a cardboard template to get the size. I've been using this on jappers for years. Cheap and discrete. The other option is to put an extended mudflap on the front guard.

i suspected i may have been pissing in the wind , to source some sort of manufactured bit of kit,,,

now that u mentioned it , and the fog in my skull clears,,,,i have done the very same in the past on a few bikes,,,
