Calling all FXR Riders

    G'day all,

I have been wondering lately, just how many other FXR riders there are in this forum? I have been tossing the idea around of maybe asking the forum mods to add an FXR section if there is enough interest from others. In the bike specific discussion forums there isnt really a classification that we fit into. I have found myself visiting an American forum lately that has a well frequented section dedicated to FXR riders, but would love to spend more time here in an Aussie forum if I could. Anyway, let me know if anyone else is interested, and we'll see if anything comes of it. Looking forward to hearing other FXR devotees thoughts on the subject.

One of my biggest regrets was selling my near stock 91 fxr three years ago to purchase the Road King.

    Should of bloody kept it.

At least I still have the workshop manual.

Anyway, an fxr section, why not...

I'd pop in there every so often for a browse.

    Excellent idea FXRfreak,

It goes without saying I would be interested in a FXR section.

Thanks to the 3 guys that replied. Doesnt look like there is much interest yet, although its only been 2 days, and they might be all away for the weekend or something. But just maybe there aint as many FXR riders in here as I thought. Oh well  I'll just have to keep frequenting the U.S. FXR site for a little while longer. I'll give it a week or so and see whhat happens.

I think everyone is interested in FXRs, just not everyone is lucky enough to own one ;)

Gotta love FXR's, restoring a 82 right now, the 92 I sold (to upgrade, yeah right) handled better than modern harley ever will.

When my engine was tired I looked at getting a new Fatbob, when I inquired at the local dealer about buying a new bike and trading the FXR he said "don't you will regret it". Much to my suprise as this done him out of a bike sale.

With that setteled I purchased a 1999 nighttrain engine and had it rebuilt, slotted it in and it goes better than ever.

I am glad I did, I quite like the old bike and how it rides.

know what you mean; also never sure where to look for FXR stuff (are we considered 'classics' or 'vintage' already...?)

when Gasoline Alley opened up a few weeks ago there were an easy 100+ Harleys on the parking lot- I had the only FXR. Don't mind that...

A vote from me. Pehaps im biased but the FXR would have to be one of the best if not the best model built by the Motor Co.
