Rod riders - i want to try and make my std DX breath better (std pipes) by replacing the air filter. It may make it run a little cooler too.

If i just change the std air filter to the k&N hi flow filter do i really need to buy a power commander (as suggested by the helpful chaps behind the Harley spares counter)?

I am certain the airflow will effect the tune but wondered if there is any real data that shows the tune is so sensitive that even change of filter means buying a power commander?
