Just wondered if any of the forum regulars in WA are riding a Rocker yet? I know there's a blue one within 200m of my place but I'm buggered if I can catch the guy before he disappears!!! I believe it may have BY plates.

    cheers

I went past there about lunchtime Sunday 13th with my missus on the back and my mate on his Moto Guzzi. Maybe you were the Harley that pulled left into the pub carpark just before we passed...?

    G,Day Kiteman,

Not sure if its me youve seen around.

Picked up my Blue Rocker C with Vance & Hines Big Radius Pipes, Screamin Eagle Heavy breather, and the Thundermax ECM from Bunbury on June 20th. So I do have BY Plates.

have clocked up 1000km since delivery. Have been all around the place so it may have been me.

I saw a Red Rocker in Freo last Saturday. Havent seen any others.

Good to know there are a few around.

Good to meet you Griffo. :)

The guy near me got his bike around early to mid-May which was why I was so surprised to see it!!

I am VERY impressed that SW Harley fitted V&H Big Radius for you considering that the BR pipes to suit the Rocker (26043) are not yet available for 6-8 weeks from the importers Cassons!!! This means that very probably they used the existing BR pipes (26029) and made up a bracket to perfectly match the Rocker.

You've gotta take your hat off to the guys at SW. It's no wonder that so many Perth riders go there. I am also looking for the same pipes and a Tmax but a different filter. I would be interested to share info with you. Perhaps you could drop me a line to:
    neil@kite.net.au.
    all the best

    (pasted from a previous post)

The bike feels different to my 88 inch 2003 Wideglide. MUCH lighter in the feel of the controls. Very light clutch and brake levers only really need 1 finger operation but I use 2 or more through habit. Gearchange is very smooth with less delay from de-clutching to the classic HD "clunk" when you kick the shift pedal. You only get clunked at clutch + half second instead of clutch + 3 seconds like the 88's. Sorry to bore the readers who already have 96's!

The bike feels like it weighs more like say 150 kg than 300kg which I assume is due to the lower seat position relative to the fairly regular bar grip height. It's hard to believe that you could drop it (at standstill) if it goes lower than say 30 degrees from upright. The motor is fast-revving and smooth but sadly it currently sounds like a Post Office bike!!

The bike looks "different" and will take a while for lots of folk to appreciate much like the V-rod did a few years back. What really matters is that "I" like it. I hope others like it too but I don't really mind if they don't!

    I'm VERY happy with it!

    G'day Shovel,

Can you PM me the details, costs etc of where you got your heartland kit installed ?  I am about to do the same piece of work to my FXCWC in 2 weeks time, plus the lowering kit.  Would love to know what you think now it's all done.

This is what I am going with:

    • Heartland E-Z Rock-R Conversion System (Chrome Struts and Heartbreaker Fender 11 x 24) HL-240R-1
    • Heartland E-Z Rock-R 2nd Seat and Sissy Bar - Leather HL-2507

    • Heartland Rear Lowering kit (Progressive Softail Lowering Kit Chrome)  HL-Low2

    Cheers

    Thanks Dave.

So yours has the 24" guard installed ? I like the look of the 20" but not sure how I'd go with the cops.

How do you find the heartland seat both rider and pillion for comfort and did you go the heartland lowering kit ?

    Cheers

IVE GOT THE 28" GUARD ON

PLENTY COPS HAVE LOOKED AT IT WITH THE 20" GUARD AND ADVISED ME THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH IT.

    THE REAL PROBLEM IS

    - WITH YR BRIDE ON THE BACK  WITH THE PILLION SEAT ON IF ITS RAINING WATER COMES STRAIGHT OFF THE WHEEL AND UP HER BACK THEN DOWN HER ARSE (TRUST ME SHE NOT HAPPY !!!!)

-THERE IS LITTLE 2 NO SPACE TO MOUNT REGO PLATE. ITS OK IN THE STATES WHERE THEY CAN HAVE SIDE MOUNTING. BUT NOT HERE. THAT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE COPS

    - I LIKE TO HAVE A SMALL LUGGAGE RACK TO PUT STUFF. NO CHANCE WITH THE 24" IN MY OPINION. IF YOU TRAVELLING WITH SISSYBAR MOUNTED LUGGAGE U NEED IT 2 REST ON
