Hey all.

I treated myself to a set of flush mount fuel cap and guage.I am useing the Harley type.

My problem is that the destructions say for the fuel gauge that  the centre portion of the gauge needs to be released from the housing

and to do this i have to push on the centre portion of the gauge until I hear a CLICK.,then it will pop out when released.

Well im'e afraid that if I push any more or harder I am going to hear a CRACK instead. Is this normal as to it being so hard or am I

just a pussy and not being hard enough( I dont think I am).

Any sugestions or help would be appreciated Did you all that have installed these have the same problem and what did you do?.

Thanks Burraburra,once i got past that little holdup all went good, although It was to fidely to get at the end 

of the wires and i didnt realy feel like takeing the tank of or even lifting it and ended up not useing the

supplied plug and just cut the wires and soldered the leads on.

Looks great and works fine for now.
