just read this article - news.ninemsn.com.au/national/8272251/man-to-face-court-over-qld-shooting-death

    loved this bit -

Cook's lawyer Bill Potts told the Southport Magistrates Court it was staggering that a man who'd simply defended himself against intruders was now facing a criminal charge.

"Under the law a man is allowed to use lethal force against a person who is demonstrably armed with a weapon and prepared to use lethal force against him," Mr Potts told the court.

your on my turf bitches - eat this - maybe if we were allowed to defend ourselves knowing the law was there to back us up , not lock us up - it would make theives and the like think twice about climbing through our windows - more power to you brother !!!!

Had a similar situation here in WA a couple of years ago - old bloke and his wife in the swan valley had a break in, he and the missus locked themselves in their bedroom, the intruders tried to kick the bedroom door in. Old fella warns the intruders he has a gun, the intruders keep kicking until the door collapses, old fella lets rip with a 12 guage.
The end result was 1 piece of shit dead and the old bloke let off after an inquest - not a court appearance for a charge.
This is an exception to the rule over here aswell, normally you would have to defend yourself on a manslaughter charge, don't know why this case was different.

Same thing happened to my daughter, she awoke to hear them ( 2 blokes) whispering outside her bedroom door, thankfully she flew out the window to the neighbours and rang me, don't have a gun but a pick handle wouldve achieved the same result,  the filthy little mongrel druggie shits, they better look out if I ever catch them...
