teardrop air cleaner

    Hi there everone, I was just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I will be receiving(hopefully) my new 2012 custom 1200 sportster in September, just waiting on the colour schemes to be released on 20th July. In the meantime my little mind has been ticking over on what mods to do etc.

    I was thinking of putting on jet black screamin eagle buckshot heat shields with slip on mufflers plus a different air cleaner. I quite like the look of the teardrop air cleaner. Would I have to get a tuner put on with all this or could I simply just put on these pipes and air cleaner as I have been advised otherwise by the dealer? Any advice on this would be great.

    Thanks for the info, I thought this might be the case. will have to rethink my mods plans or do it a bit differently....

    Thanks Scouser, really like the way youve done your bike pretty cool! I live in Sydney but was born and bred in Adelaide West Croydon all my life up until 5 years ago. The ride you did not long ago to Victor harbour etc sounded great, I used to do similar runs with a few mates when I lived  there, I then had a Moto Guzzi Lemans MK 111.  cant wait to get my first harley though, hope I dont get stuffed around by the dealer....
