I have done a search but can"t find anything on this. I recently bought some Willie G rear axle pivot bolt covers. I own a 2011 Fatboy, the left side goes on real nice and flush. The right side is located near the exhaust and is a little awkward to get too but not that bad. The problem is when doing up the hex grub screws that secure the cap onto the nut the rear of the cap doesnt sit square and flush mount nicely.

    Am i being too fussy.

I like to have it looking right and with it not flush mounting correctly it looks a little off. Has anyone else had a similar problem like this

Try and swap sides, some bikes have the axle turned around as it makes for easier wheel removal

I think your talking about the swingarm pivot bolt covers not the axle covers, i had the same problem on my 2011 Fatboy

as i had bought the wrong covers.I had bought the covers to suite up to 2007 Softail and the right hand side wouldnt fit.

I have now bought the 2011 covers and they fit perfectly.

Yeah theyre the ones. doh ! swingarm pivot bolt covers is what i meant. I will take em back in and hopefully get the correct ones. I even asked them to get the right ones and told em it was for a 2011 Fatboy.

Fingers crossed they get the right ones this time

    Cheers.
