Accommodation suggestions from the NSW folk...

Doing a small road trip with the young bloke (in the car) down to Melbourne late August to catch up with some family and will be heading back up the coast on the way back. Idea is to stop in Eden for 1 night, Sydney for 2 nights then Coffs for 1 night then home so I thought who better to ask than the good folk that live in NSW.

Basically I'm looking for accommodation in Sydney for the 2 nights as 'Wotif' shows up about 500 hotels and not knowing Sydney CBD too well I was hoping someone could recommend a relatively clean and friendly hotel and something not on the expensive side that is close to the tourist attractions i.e. Harbour Bridge, Opera House, ferries etc?

Accommodation in Eden and Coffs is a bit easier to source but if anyone has any recommendations that would be appreciated as well.

    DW,

Mate don't know the price but it is very central to the city and a stroll to Darling Harbour.  There is a hotel on the adjacent corner (Pyrmont Bridge Hotel) for take aways - plus a few take away or sit in food shops / restaurants in the immediate vicinity of that intersection.

Good luck - if ya need further help or any questions don't hestiate to ask me.

    Burra.

Edit: I Pm'd ya my mobile and email address.

Haha, no worries Dave, any help is appreciated. Young blokes only 3 1/2 and it will be a Tuesday night so I don't think the pub will be too loud eh, might have visited that pub about 10 year ago, on the left heading toward the harbour?

Burra, got the PM cheers. That hotel looks the go, any recommendations closer to Circular Quay?

Cheers Steamer, visited the Whale museum about 10 years ago, looking at taking the young bloke to those sorts of things. Good suggestion there.

Thanks glucky7, something a bit closer to the Opera House, Bridge is a go I reckon.

Thanks for the offer Guv. Bit awkard considering i've only met em once and even then we made a nuisance of ourselves in the caravan park. Plan change now as i'm going to bypass Sydney.
