After a lot of looking around and try-ons I ended up with black starriders from the mob in the below link.

Price was right, they're fully lined and comfortable due to being made from stretch material.

Not bad in the cold but not quite as good as thermal jeans, keep the breeze out, not waterproof.

On a hot day it pays to keep moving.

Wear well, still like them and can't say anything about the ultimate test, and more than happy never to find out.

Any reason you don't like Draggin' jeans ?
Unfourtunately I've tested them, and they do work as advertised.

I'd be a bit sus' about using those Kevlar jeans that have stretch Denim though.

Rider, I was actually asking the original if he didn't like Draggin's
And I agree , stretch are way more comfortable. But I believe the heavy Denim shell does also help hold the knitted Kevlar together.
You can actually tear the kevlar lining, my analogy would be sandpaper, you can sand metal with it, but you can also tear it in half.
I've hit a spark plug (old Zed inline 4) with my knee, and it tore straight through the Kevlar.
I guess leather is probably the best in the end.

    Have a look at NED's

    http://nedswear.com.au/

I have 2 pair, partical kevlar and full kevlar.

I haven't put them to the test and I don't want to try but both are very very comfortable.

I also have a pair of Draggin Jeans cargos which I hate! they are uncomfortable, the wrong cut and the back pockets are so small I nearly rip them apart getting my wallet out.

    Anyway my 2 cents worth.

    Cheers Kymbo

P.S. Not affilicated with Ned's other than I own and like the 2 pairs of their jeans.

I have a pair of Draggin Jeans which I have had for several years now, at the of purchasing the Draggin Jeans there weren't any other Kevlar jeans on the market. Now i have a pair of Horny Kevlar jeans which I find much more comfortable due to way there their made also the colour hasn't faded like the Dragin Jeans did.

Good to see now that there is much more of a selection with Kevlar Jeans manafacturers.

You have to ask the question why the full lined Draggins are $400 and the StarRiders are $139??

i got myself a pair of Dragon jeans, they are the black oiled/waxed ones, they are a slim fit and shrink a little when you wash them, i asked the sales person how good they are in the cold weather and she said they are great, thats a load of crap, oiled/waxed or not they block the wind/cold the same as jeans, so yeah in the colder weather wear your long johns.

I use Draggin Jeans.. the only issue I have even had was with Silverbacks - they are not narrow cut or boot leg and therefore tend to ride up the leg if doing >100clicks...
