I have just purchased a 2011 FXST softail standard with the 103 cu kit and screamin eagle heavy breather and vance and hines pipe and race tuner etc. I was reading an article that says the softail likes to cruise on about 50mph ( 80kph), that seems way too slow for me!!!!!!!! Im a very heavy set guy but i thought i should be able to cruise all day and night on 110klm.
What is the claimed top speed of my bike, does anybody know, i cant find the info anywhere.

Well, thanks for the opinions, ill run the bike in then ill try and set a land speed record with it on the bruce highway.
Knowing the top speed was just interesting, more important is cruising speed as the guys i ride with sit on about 120 all day

I took the beast for a ride today on the highway and it sat on 100khr with low revs in only 4th gear, so im thinking cruising on all day at 120khr will indeed be easy. Was only a 90 zone so i didnt push it.
Yeah Rocky2010 that paint job is awesome, i am looking around for somebody around brisbane to do the same sort of paint job. Looks like it will cost upwards of $3k

I've had it past 220 (on the speedo) in 5th & cruised at 140+ easy.
