do you guys have your bikes insured?

i have comprehensive through NRMA . $600 for the year, tossing up whether to keep it insured or just get 3rd party property, 

i have the factory alarm + a Xena brake disc lock/alarm , which unless i am unlucky enough to come across a specialist thief who knows how to take one of those things off or can somehow lift the bike without being able to rotate the rear wheel i am pretty safe.

what do you guys reckon?

Have to agree with the others........be more worried about damage to your bike.......and not necessarily  by you! Remember......there are plenty of cage drivers out there with no insurance whatsoever!!!

Try "Famous Insurance" for a quote..........they did a good deal for me.

Shannons for me. Prices are good and each time I add another vehicle to my policy they discount the whole lot. I'm about to get a green slip price from them.

 

HD for me (Swan) 3 year replacement! just short of $600 and anybody can ride it, only excess changes depending on age etc

swann online cant do pre 91..... anyone else ppl can reccomend for earlier than 91?

cheers yea it is a bit of peace of mind for sure, insuremyride came up at just over $400, so i rekn i will switch from nrma to them next week, anyone had to claim through those guys?, i know some of the other cheaper insurers are almost impossible to make a claim through, budget direct (cars only i think) were exposed a few yrs back at rejecting most claims, no wonder their premiums are so cheap. mofos...

Got my renewal notice today from Harley insurance (Swann) for $800, googled up a cheaper quote from Insuremyride ($640). Rang Harley Heaven Adelaide, where I bought my Wide glide from and they matched the lower quote, using Harley insurance (swann).Very fast service from a lovely lady, just can't remember her name !
