There is an amazing product called NYALIC
they use it to coat marine metal it doesn't let any air or oxidation form on raw surface , and doesn't yellow like clear coat can , the only downfall is you can't let petrol drip on it , which might be a problem with a tank
im going to use it on my tank and see how it works
