IM THINKING ABOUT PUTING BRAIDED LINES ON MY DELUXE ,   I KNOW THEY LOOK A LOT BETTER THAN STANDERED LINES BUT DO THEY WORK A LOT BETTER  , AND IS IT EXPENSIVE TO  GET ALL MY LINES CHANGED TO BRAIDED ONES BY A PROFESSIONAL ?  CHEERS.....

Mate they work just as well as the OEM ones. Tip don't go cheap (Motionpro) I had a clutch cable go on me ( bottom seal) and the throttle cable adjusters rust. Diamondback cables from Harley are good as well as Barnetts. Give Luke a shot at HH and see what price he can get them for you. I know I paid a heap for the clutch cable. All the SS cables are differing is lustre so try to match them as sets. The Harley cable is a lot brighter then the others I have. One day I will swap them out for Daimondbacks.

Also do it yourself, it is not that hard. apart from the front brake swap. But thee is a sticky on changing and bleeding front brakes in this forum. The money you will pay for someone to put them on will probably pay for a clutch cable, or throttle cables..... And you have the added benefit and satisfaction of working on your own bike and seeing the end result.

Talk to the guys at Burleigh Bars.  They have all of the correct cables at cheaper than HD prices.  I've got them and they are excellent.

Most braid cover kits are only for show. They don't actually provide any increase in braking ability.

They increase the breaking affect by not ballooning out.

"The stainless wire braid more effectively resists expansion due to pressure inside the hose core. This in effect improves brake system effectiveness by more directly transferring operator input to brake friction surfaces"

Ahh!! I know this stuff well. I used it on my V-Star. It is not bad... BUT... you need to be able to secure each end and pull it tight. It frays at the ends, so you need some way to tidy it up. What I did was to use black Heat Shrink to shrink over the ends to tidy it.

It looks OK... but does it look great - No.

Yeah no probs. I just looked my entire photo library to see if I could find a pic. But I don't seem to have one. I will keep looking though.
