had to jump on brakes hard after some clown cut me off front brake locked up almost threw me off is there anyway to stop brakes biteing so hard

Maybe you should consider going out and finding an appropriate area to practice a few emergency stops.
Do enough to embed the experience into your brain and if it ever happens for real it should be easier and safer to deal with.
