Don't kow if this is in the right section so apologies beforehand if it is.

I ordered some Genuine H/D parts via ebay through a HD dealr and part of the email they sent me included this.

Effective January 1, 2012, Harley-Davidson® will not allow Dealers to sell on eBay and Amazon. also included was this

** INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS **

Effective August 1, 2011, Harley-Davidson® has implemented a new policy where all U.S. dealers no longer can ship orders to an address outside of the United States. (APO/FPO addresses are excluded.)  Please make plans now to place new orders before this date.

The email message was sent by one of the largest H/D dealers.

Thoughts n comments ?

 It goes even further Unc.  A couple of sites that I looked at also stated hat they could not accept an order from an overseas credit card for delivery to a US address.

Why is it i can purchase a genuine H/D leather jacket $339 + $40. P/H from the US yet same jacket here will cost me $671.00. Seems someone is getting ripped off and now they want to stop selling to overseas customers and u have to buy local. Isnt this anti competitive and illegal ?

I would say that the Harley Dealers in Australia have all banded together to stop the locals purchasing genuine HD parts overseas, its just wrong
