     G'Day KC,

That should fix your pinging , 883 ignition is too advanced for the 1200.

The Daytona module should fit right in without rewiring hassles, and you can play around with curves

and cope with changes to pipes, carb etc with minimal hassle.

    Cheers,

    Cris.

KC, i agree the Daytona Twin Tech is a good set up same as the Crane. Compu fire had a good bullit proof set up that just about lasts forever and real tough coil, but don't think they are around now.

Also what is your cranking pressure? & what Carb are you useing? as the carb tune can also cause pining issues if on lean side.

    regards Krash

Thanks dudes, the Twin Tec sounds good.

Yes KK, it's a good point, I'm running a stock CV carb from '06 sporty, I had some issues with fouling plugs with the old one, but it is running lean.  I may richen it up and try it for  a few weeks to see if that fixes it before splashing out on the ignition upgrade.

I put a twin tech on m y 2000 fat, it came with specs to adjust and tweek it.
Five adjustment screws , $550.00 BUCKS but worth it.
I definitely feel the improvement and no more ignition pinging when the fat missus is on the back!

Try the range from dynatech. I run a tc88 (sure they have a version to suit ur ride). I found that once u play with it you can switch quickly from mode to mode. I now use one setting solo and one for carrying a pillion. About $350 in aus
